We all know how fast social media changes - new platforms, features, tools and trends emerge every week. Some are genuine long-term shifts in user behaviour that require us to adapt our social media strategies. Others are just gimmicks that will soon be forgotten.

In this session, European social media experts Yves Baudechon and Ruben Ceuppens will unravel what's new in 2016 in the social media world. They will point out the 'must-haves', the 'nice-to-haves' and the 'don't really needs' of channels, targeting, content and promotion.

This session is for everyone using social media to connect with audiences in 2016. Social.Lab is the team behind the highly successful, highly targeted social media campaign for the European Parliament elections in 2014, and continues to work with EU Institutions on social media strategies.

This is one of a series of lunch seminars organised by WPP’s Government & Public Sector Practice. Thought leaders from across the renowned marketing communications group will share their valuable insights into this unique form of communications, helping you stay on trend. All the sessions are tailored to communicators working in the EU institutions, national government, local government or international organisations, academics and think-tanks.

The session includes a 12.15pm sandwich lunch for a 12.30pm start. Seats are limited, please RSVP early.

The original event had been scheduled on March 22nd but had to be cancelled due to the terrorist attacks in Brussels on that day. Many of you were very interested in the topic, so we have now rescheduled this conference in May.

Our thoughts go to the victims of these tragic events and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe.
